What PPIA RMIT have in store for you

An internal project with the intention to support commencing Indonesian students by providing information before departure. This project will be presented through online information sessions through Zoom and WhatsApp groups. We are aiming to help new students so they will get to know better about Melbourne, RMIT University, and PPIA RMIT itself before they start their university life.

This event is based on the idea of a ‘Welcoming BBQ’ where students get the opportunity to meet and socialize amongst both new and existing members. This game-filled event will grasp the idea of unity through ice-breaking games designed to drive participants to interact with one another. We intend to create and construct an ideal atmosphere to socialize. Due to the current uncertain situation, this welcoming event will be held online through Zoom.

Genit is a social event that invites our community to engage and get to know each other better through games. This event will be held offline if it is safe and possible to do so, or through zoom if the situation does not allow us to have an offline event. PPIA RMIT plans to collaborate with PPIA of another university to give students a break from their university life by meeting new people through this casual event. There will be a mix of different games where the participants would be separated into small groups and they would play these games to collect points and win a prize.

An interactive event to engage with our members’ and challenge their creative skills. As most of our members are currently taking degrees closely associated with the creative field, this workshop is aimed to give our members an opportunity to acquire knowledge and upskill themselves through direct experience led by professional creative practitioners.

An event to celebrate Indonesia’s independence day dedicated to remind us, Indonesian students, of our roots and the nation we come from. We will play games, put on Indonesian music, and have fun together with our community members.

A two-day event that aims to develop unity and solidify bonds between PPIA RMIT’s committees. Also known as Makin-Akrab, is our annual outing event where the committee would get to know one another with the purpose of familiarizing themselves with the rest of the organisation as well as establishing both team-building skills and personal relationships with one another.
